ACID Style 2.0 and SIREN XPress 2.0 Bundled with the Canopus DVRexRT Professional and DVStorm Digital Video Non-Linear Editing Capture Cards

Sonic Foundry partners with CanopusMADISON, WI (Dec. 4, 2000) -- Sonic Foundry, Inc. announced that it has entered into a OEM partnership with Canopus Corporation, manufacturer of non-linear video editing products for videographers.

Sonic Foundry is providing versions of its ACID Style 2.0 music creation software and its SIREN Jukebox XPress 2.0 personal music manager, to be bundled with the new Canopus DVRexRT Professional and DVStorm NLE solutions. ACID Style will be shipped with a 100 multi-genre loop library and it supports English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Users will be able to incorporate their own musical creations made with ACID Style into their video. SIREN gives users a tool to download music and content from the Internet and to digitize music from their own personal music library to add into their videos.

The DVRexRT Professional is a full-featured, professional-level NLE that boasts extensive real-time capabilities, delivering the features required by video professionals to capture and blend DV and high-end analog footage. With its component video I/O, balanced audio I/O and RS-422 analog deck control, DVRexRT Professional allows capture of professional-level analog material without compromising quality. DVRexRT Professional includes real-time editing, MPEG encoding, DVD authoring, soundtrack creation and Internet streaming tools to provide video editors with a complete NLE solution in one package.

DVStorm is a real-time NLE that combines an extensive high performance feature set with stability and reliability to deliver render-free, real-time digital video editing, DV and analog (S-Video and Composite video) input/output, and MPEG output for DVD and Web streaming. DVStorm features over 24 real-time filters, including color correction, mosaic, emboss, slow motion, picture-in-picture, chroma key, luma key and chrominance, and 15 transitions, including wipes, dissolves, slides, page curls and stretch.
