HOLLYWOOD,
CA (Dec. 8, 2000) -- A new Web site has been launched that showcases the
unique products of veteran cameraman Richard Haberkern, all designed to
improve the quality of DV camcorder images. Habbycam.com offers desktop
video producers the tools that they need to shoot Hollywood-style images.
Filling a void in the consumer market, Habbycam products are low-priced
and allow the video producer to shoot images that up until now were only
achievable in major productions.Richard Haberkern,
a former cameraman and engineer for NFL Films, founded Habbycam.com in
September 2000 to share some of his unique shooting techniques with other
video producers. NFL Films is famous and highly respected for the many
amazing shots that capture the excitement of professional football.
Using his experience gained while designing camera supports for some of
the best sports filmmakers in the world, Richard has developed a line
of products that allows any videographer to improve the quality of his/her
images.
These camera accessories
are not only unique but are affordable to anyone on a tight budget.
For example, for less than $200, the Micro Jib is based on Hollywood-style
jibs that allow the camera to track a shot from the floor to a height
of over eight feet. An ingenious pulley system acts as a remote
control to position the camera as it rises. The jib is also perfect
for shooting above crowds or panning and tilting the camera from a distance.
The Mini DV Brace
was designed to stabilize small to medium size camcorders that must normally
be held out in front of the operator. By using an adjustable support
system, the camcorder's weight is transferred to where it belongs on the
user’s shoulder. This eliminates the fatigue that normally causes
the camera to shake when shooting for long periods of time.
All Habbycam products come at a time when digital video technology is changing the way people watch TV and enjoy movies. With these products, just about anyone with a camcorder and computer will be able to make a movie that rivals productions with high budgets. By utilizing Haberkern's camera experience and engineering skills, Habbycam.com brings you:
