MARLBORO,
MA (Mar. 06, 2001) -- Data Translation unveiled Broadway's newly designed
Web site (www.b-way.com). Used by
professionals and enthusiasts alike, Broadway Pro is a fully integrated
system that allows users to simply connect a video camera or VCR to
a Windows-based PC to create videos for live web streaming, multimedia
documents, presentations, web pages, video CDs, DVDs, and digital archives.
Beginning this month, Broadway is running an online monthly contest
for the best video created with the Broadway system. The contest, entitled
"Your Name in Lights," gives Broadway users an opportunity to win free
upgrades of Broadway Pro when they submit their finished short videos.
A winner will be chosen every month. Submission instructions are given
on the Broadway Web site in the "Screening Room" section.
The Screening Room section also features clips of Broadway-produced
videos using MPEG-1 and Real Media. Viewers can click on three different
demos (golf, skiing, and cooking) and experience first-hand the high
quality of the production.
