Ligos Technology Announces Enhancements to LSX-MPEG Line
 
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Feb. 20, 2001) -- Ligos Technology has announced enhancements to its entire LSX-MPEG product line. With new releases of the LSX-MPEG Suite and all its components, Ligos now offers Super VideoCD support that allows users to produce discs for playback on many standard home DVD players. Ligos also is delivering a new MPEG player that provides video and audio decoder technology from Intel's Microprocessor Research Lab.

Ligos announced LSX-MPEG Suite 2.0, which includes new releases of its LSX-MPEG for Adobe Premiere plug-in, LSX-MPEG Player, and LSX-MPEG Encoder. Ligos also recently began shipping the LSX-MPEG LE for Adobe Premiere plug-in, the first MPEG encoder to deliver true support for Super VideoCD.

LSX-MPEG for Adobe Premiere is available only as part of the LSX-MPEG Suite.

LSX-MPEG LE for Adobe Premiere - The LE version of Ligos' plug-in provides a single-tab interface for transcoding MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 streams directly from Premiere. Designed for ease-of-use and affordability, the LE version's streamlined user interface simplifies the process of creating an MPEG stream and enables users to easily produce CDs for playback on standard DVD players. Priced at $179.95, LSX-MPEG LE for Adobe Premiere also supports Intel Pentium 4-SSE2 for the fastest possible MPEG encoding.

LSX-MPEG Player 3.0 - This MPEG player overcomes the limitations of existing players with a broad range of features targeted at users wanting to play back MPEG-2 content using Windows® Media Player. Offering industry-leading and affordable 4:2:2 decoding capabilities, LSX-MPEG Player 3.0 is a DirectShow filter that allows users to view MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video on a PC without the need for special hardware.
