Macworld San Francisco Draws Record Crowd
 
93,000 Attend & See New Products From 300 Macintosh Developers

Macworld Expo logoFRAMINGHAM, Mass. and CUPERTINO, CA (Jan. 17, 2001) -- IDG World Expo and Apple announced that a record of over 93,000 people attended the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco last week, making it the largest gathering of Mac fans in the U.S. ever.

In addition to the show's record attendance, more than a quarter million people tuned into the live QuickTime stream of the Macworld keynote delivered by Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. During the keynote, Jobs unveiled the new Titanium PowerBook G4; a new Power Mac G4 line featuring the combination CD-RW/DVD-R SuperDrive for reading and writing both CDs and DVDs; iTunes "jukebox" software; iDVD, a new application that lets consumers create professional-looking DVDs; and DVD Studio Pro, the first full-featured DVD authoring tool for under $1,000.
